  • RULE Reminders: READ THE RULES

    • Boat Captains always have complete control of the boat and outboard engine. Youth Anglers may not drive the boat except in the case of an emergency. Club Rule 3, National Rule 5 Safety

    • Once you check in with the timekeeper at the dock, all fishing must cease. See Club Rule 50, Rule 40 & 41 mention other times fishing must cease.

    • Each boat passenger must wear a Coast Guard-approved chest-type life preserver anytime the combustion engine is operating. See Club Rule 21, National Rule 5 Safety

    • No minimum for Phoenix Junior Bassmasters, 12” minimum for High School Anglers, 5 fish team weight.

    • NO encroachment or impeding (talk to the other boats)

    • Boat Captains will NOT fish during the tournament, which includes casting lines or lures, setting the hook, Reel, or play fish to the boat.

    • OFF LIMITS: Marina & any other buoys as placed by AZ Game & Fish

Tournament Information:

  • Official Practice Days: November 15th-16th, 2024

  • Meet near the WHITE Junior Trailer, Pleasant Harbor Marina-South Ramp Parking Lot (SEE MAP BELOW), $9.00 Vehicle Fee, Vehicle with Watercraft $12.00, NOTE: If you use the Marina shuttle- offer a tip to the marina ramp shuttle driver.

  • Be at the Registration table by 6:00 am.

    • Make sure you know your boat number, which helps us check you in quickly.

    • The Boat Captain will receive TBF Boat Captain Cards with rule reminders.

    • We will have morning snacks and coffee available for Anglers and Boat Captains. (Volunteers are needed to serve coffee)

  • JUNIOR DRAW Anglers will check in at the registration table and then stand by designated cones with their fishing supplies.

    • DRAW anglers must stay at designated CONE until they are paired with their teammate and Captain.

    • Boats by Cone Color: 1-5=Orange, 6-10=Purple

  • Launch Tips:

    • After you check in at the registration table and pair up, get in line and launch your boat right away.

    • Check BOAT PLUG and STRAPS before you launch your boat into the water.

    • When on the ramp, please turn off your headlights...that way the people coming up the ramp are not blinded by the lights of the vehicles trying to come down the ramp.

  • Launch Process: Launch by Safelight​​

    • Music will play, National Anthem, Morning Sendoff Prayer

    • Boats Line up in Boat Number order:

      • Ask a neighbor boat what their number is.

      • Organize selves on the water.

      • Junior DRAW anglers will launch first, followed by the Junior TEAM anglers.

      • Example: Boats 1 & 2 Stage near doc, 3-10 stage closest to doc; once National Anthem is complete, boats 1-10 start to form a line, 11-25 start to follow in line for a smooth and faster launch process.

    • Drive-by Director or designee (call boat or on the dock)

      • When your boat number is called

      • With Life Vest on & secured (zipped/snapped)

      • Live Wells Open

      • Kill Switch Attached

  • Weigh-in: Junior DRAW anglers check in at the dock by 1 p.m., and Junior TEAM anglers check in at the dock by 1:30 p.m., High School 2:00 pm and 2:15 pm ALL TEAMS MUST CHECK IN WITH TIMEKEEPER AT DOCK! (volunteer needed)

  • DRIVE-THRU WEIGH-IN: Boat Captains See Chris with any questions on the weigh-in process.

    • BAG fish and TAG big fish

      • Put fish in your weigh bag while in the weigh-in line.

      • You will need 1 weigh bag per team.

    • DROP OFF ANGLERS before the WEIGH-IN table (STOP 1)

      • Drop off anglers with bagged fish

      • Anglers will transfer fish into an official mesh weigh-in bag provided by the tournament director

    • PICK UP Anglers-DRIVE behind the canopies/trailer (STOP 2)

      • Look for orange cones/signs and volunteers directing traffic (volunteers needed)

      • You will pick up your anglers after they weigh in.

  • Other Reminders:

    • DO NOT ENTER THE WEIGH-IN TENT, AND DO NOT TALK TO THE SCOREKEEPER DURING WEIGH-IN AT THE WEIGH-IN TENT. Places will be posted online; if you want to know your child’s place, please wait until the weigh-in is over to ask the scorekeeper.

    • Bring a chair and shade to watch the weigh-in

    • Bring breakfast, lunch, sunscreen, hat, drinks, fishing gear, boat gas money.

    • BRING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE, HAVE PATIENCE WITH ONE ANOTHER, AND HAVE FUN! SPORTSMANSHIP ABOVE ALL!!

    • Please HELP and Volunteer! Volunteer to direct traffic, do dock check-in, fish care, set up and break down canopies, and clean up at the end of the tournament.
